Airplane Parts and engines distributor
This user has seven workstations and three printers. Each sales person has a workstation
and they initiate and respond to phone inquiries immediately pricing by phone with knowledge
of the stock levels of each part in inventory.
They have a workstation in the warehouse as well as a printer so that orders are generated
in the office and immediately printed, picked and ready for shipping in a very short period
of time.
They have two primary vendors and receive and update price changes electronically from these
vendors.
They are using standard PROMPT Business System with the only modification being setup
unique to their vendors for automatic price updates. Their invoice print specifications
were met by using the flexible setup provided in the PROMPT invoice, work order, pack list and shipping labels forms print module.
This user takes advantage of the superseded parts feature of PROMPT Inventory Control that
allows identification of a part that has been superseded and then link to the new part number.
